Quietly, on Thursday, February 22, 2024, in Toronto, in her 60th year. Catriona, loving mother of Jake, and Adam. Beloved daughter of Ian Walker and his late wife Avril. Loving sister of Stuart Walker and his son Matthew. Faithful companion to Checkers and Toci.
Catriona was born in England but moved to Oakville soon after. The family settled in Port Elgin and has been there ever since. The Port Elgin beach was where you would often find her either chilling with friends or having fun with family. She was an excellent student and excelled in all subjects. She enjoyed horseback riding, downhill skiing, biking and being with friends in her early years.
Catriona followed her mother's career path to become a pharmacist attending University of Toronto in the Pharmacy program where she really excelled. There she met two of her dearest friends Tracey Adam and Kim Riva whom she stayed close to ever since. She started in retail pharmacy but quickly moved to St. Mike's hospital in downtown Toronto. She moved on to Humber River Hospital where she loved and often spoke fondly of her co-workers.
Her pride and joy were her sons Jake and Adam. She never hesitated to speak proudly of them and what good and kind people they have become. She was the consummate mother, organized, kind and caring beyond words. Her smile and caring heart will forever be in our memories.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 2:00pm at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222.
